NOTES

For Dear Life takes its title from a song by the metalcore band Prong, who were probably most famous for having one of their other tunes featured as the theme music for MTV's Headbanger's Ball in the early 90s.

Most of the music was written in the spring and autumn of 2004, but I attached a composition date of 2008 since I made some revisions before its first performance that same year.

The title is intended to reflect the somewhat urgent, relentless, and breathless quality of much of the music.
