NOTES
Thread and Fray are really two distinct pieces. Thread is a twisty and somewhat eerie instrumental that serves as a prelude of sorts to Fray. Both of these pieces were originally written and conceived for The Knells.
In 2012, I was invited to attend a choral workshop with Philip Brunelle and VocalEssence, a professional choir in Minneapolis, MN. I took the opportunity to arrange both pieces for the occasion, as I thought Thread would work quite well for a large, mixed chorir.
